Any luck with finding more people or a machine yet? :? Hope so; have you checked freecycle or efreeko?

Let us know how you get on, and welcome to the world of morsbags :D

no luck on either front yet. my mum might have a hand-held sewing machine i can borrow, however - so eastbourne may yet have a single bag maker! x

Eastbourne pod

Hi Mel, are you still there and still interested? I just found out about morsbags from Permaculture Magazine. I would love to make bags with people. I need to get a new foot pedal for my sewing machine, but otherwise it should work!

hi julia

i am still here... with a non-working sewing machine, a pile of material and massive good intentions!

That's good! I have posted in the Eastbourne Freecycle cafe and had one response already, hoping for more! Maybe you would email me so I have your email address and can eventually co-ordinate something?

Hello to you, are you still there? :P I've just found this site, so if you are still interested in forming a pod, lets get together and compare notes. wendymil

hiya wendy

i'm afraid i'm not actually actually morsbagging any more - time and a dead sewing machine have conspired against me!

if you're interested in getting a pod going again though, i'd recommend joining the eastbourne freegle cafe and seeing if people on there might be interested - they're a v friendly bunch!

the cafe's at:

all the best, mel

Hiya Mel, thanks for your reply, sorry haven't replied sooner, been a bit poorly. I have joined freecycle cafe, will certainly see if anyone is interested in morsbagging, I just need encouragement. I don't like doing things on my own, need motivation.
Best wishes, Wendy
