14th January...

Postby pol » Sat Jan 05, 2008 5:38 pm

The 14th January 2007 was Day 1 at morsbags central and the birth of the first ever morsbag.

A year of joy, blunt needles, endless duvet covers, new friends and frayed edges followed, but now I'm consumed with wanting to reach 10,000 morsbags by the 14th January 2008, just to prove how amazing morsbaggers are and what a brilliant team we've all become over the last 365 days.

So if you have a heart, and a sewing machine, please procrastinate no longer. NOW is the moment to make a morsbag - and as they take approx 15 minutes to make, we have loads of time before the 14th to make 10,000

Seriously - we need to add 45 bags to the tally a day to reach it and it's SOOOO possible if we all pull together. If you need any inspiration, check out the Beattie/ zappers conversation on the other thread. True early morning/late night dedication :D

Good luck morsbaggers!

Correction they are coming in fast 362 to go!
I'll have to find some new fireworks if we manage 10000 by the 14th Jan

I've just added the 4 bags I made while dinner was cooking & now we "only" need 318!! That's 57 bags added in the 2 hours & 20 minutes since Zappers' post - we're steaming ahead. :D

Night Shift Report!
Now it is 296 to go! I also have to cut and iron now
What a wonderful lot of baggers you are!
It would be really good if we reached 10000 before the craft fair in Exeter on Friday, (or at least near enough to be finished off by the sewers there) then Pol could really command some attention (and have a good 'preen') :P
I must go back to bed for a while, I am very tired :?
9.27 am 290 NOW! Phew, I overslept!

Is anyone planning to take a bell to Exeter to ring when bags are made?

If the 10,000 mark was reached during the exhibition wouldn't it be a great way to get attention and celebrate!!!

I had a surprise phone call yesterday from a newish recruit who had made 11 bags, I was delighted, I'd made 7 so that bumped up the total

Are you aiming for 10,00 BY the 14th or does it include 14th? Hope so because I'm arranging a bagging day ON 14th to try and get people together and hopefully to boost the tally. (although no-one might come!) I'll still be making bags before that tho
