It was still there yesterday - probably like the IPlayer, it disappears after a week or so.

Thanks for all the nice comments above. More details will follow as other attractions are confirmed! I should say that there is space indoors or undercover if the weather is horrible. Need to check how many power points we have for sewing machines.

Sazzie - did you see my comment about your 'fruity' Morsbags on Facebook? If you have any left or any scraps of fabric, please could you bring them? In fact, if anyone has any fabric with fruits on please let us know! I have a few oddments plus some summery material but if anyone has any with strawberries on that would be fantastic! :D

will do Waley, I'll keep my eyes open for fruity fabric. I might have some left over from when I made the Jamie Oliver bags for the 15 graduates. Its just a question of finding it!

Watch this space re solar powered sewing machines!!

Hi Waley,

Yes I did see your fb comment, sadly I haven't any of the fruity bags or fabric left.... I will have a look through my fabric stash (now kept at my parents ) for any suitable fabric....

While I was at work yesterday, I checked out the power points and we have plenty - if Offcuts can bring the multi socket thingys, we could have a nice line up of machines in the covered area of the courtyard. If the weather is awful, we can have the smaller tea room (which has a log burning stove if it's really cold....!)

If anyone who's planning to come along could make at least one giant Morsbag please for the sack race. If you've got any big/heavy duty bits of fabric that you could fashion into a human sized bag, that would be great! I collected some donated material last week which included a lovely roll of turquoise striped upholstery fabric. It will make some lovely bags but also a Mors-sack! :D We should get some great photos.....

Sazzie - yes, ready made bags and some kits would be fantastic. Need to decide between us how many to take - Offcuts, you're the expert on this.......

Also, please keep looking out for fruity or sporty fabrics - I had some nice Disney curtains with Mickey and Minnie Mouse and others playing sports but I think I only have tiny bits of it left now.

Thank you all x

Yes that would be a laugh. Perhaps a three- legged race with a bag over the common leg too.

f
Or something like that anyway........

Waley, I don't want you to do everything and morsbaggers are very good at sharing the tasks

So I would say we just have 4 morsbag events. You wouldn't need loads of machines and we could even just use handcranked to cut down the need for power

You could have

morsbag sack race - 4 racers - possibly youngsters - handicapped on age

1)someone to make 4 large bags which can be used for fabric drop off points afterwards

2) someone to make medals (recycled fabric)

3) I shall provide prizes from Phoenix Resource Centre

3 legged race adults

1) Someone to make ties

2) Someone to make medals

3) I shall provide prizes as above

morsbag relay - not sure any suggestions?

morsbag marathon - not sure any suggestions

So I can supply the prizes. Sarah P has offered accommodation - one double room!

Re kits and bags. Possibly 50 kits and 200 bags? I have kits but they will need ironing. This can be done at the Morsbag Room with a View. Guess people could post below what they can contribute

Offcuts I agree totally about spreading the workload... And everyone knows how well morsbagers work together...

Waley I will contribute 20 made bags and 20 ironed kits.... Sorry it's not more but I really need to get going with making bags for the big village food festival I'm doing in October... And having a very energetic toddler around only leaves me with limited time to sew...not that I'd have it any other way  , at least that gives me something to work towards...
