As promised, here is a pic of my newly made Morsbag, made from authentic vintage deckchair fabric!
This is true recycling at its best as the deckchair was one of six I got from a lady on Freecycle. Two are useable, the others need the fabric replacing so rather than throw away the heavy duty cotton, I have washed it and turned it into a Morsbag which will make an ideal beach bag!
It is a bit weather beaten but lovely thick cotton and I think it adds to the vintage charm!
I've got another one to make up - look out for another pic soon
While I'm on, here are my other first few Morsbags. The following two were made with fabric from Offcuts (and a little help from her too!):
Vintage Laura Ashley floral
Pink Dinosaurs (very unusual!)
And here's one I made from some fab vintage 60s curtains which were donated by a lady at my knitting group - very Austin Powers!!
Fingers crossed the photos work
(They are medium 640, hope that's not too big!
