Diagonal labels are in vogue this week!

Mine are always diagonal Offcuts, even if I'm trying to sew them on straight!!! I just cannot for the life of me get a label on straight - even tried sewing along a line in the pattern, but it still went wonky. It's now a feature of my bags....

Its nice when offcuts2 introduce a few design features. I think usually Maddie doesn't encourage too much deviation (not that diagonal labels are deviations!) because it spirals out of control. They do for the bits and pieces that they sell for charity I think. I had mobile pockets and all sorts this time. Sometimes I have little notes like 'made by Simon' or 'you are doing a good job my friend' which is lovely. Its only occaisionally that someone tries something unsuitable like sewing the whole bag in zigzag! I shall be storing most of these bags but 50 of them are going to a lady I met who is a Samaritan, she is going to give them to all the volunteers at the centre where she works

I love your official bag inspector Offcuts! He looks as if he's spotted a fault - maybe some dangly threads or a cockled label. Someone's name is going to go down on his list, I can see. How sweet of the bag makers to send you little notes that say such nice things. :D

Chiara, thank you so much for thinking up and organising a whole year's worth of International Morsbagging Sundays. It's incredible that, between us, we've made 2845 bags on those Sundays once a month. :D Great effort, everyone. :D

Let me know if you need some labels for your bags! I can send them from Frankfurt and you should get them in a couple of days :)

Thanks Chiara. They will be fine until I get back to UK. I didn't manage to make mine on the day, but 6 have since been completed (less the labels :) )

I didn't manage to get any done - been too busy making curtains for my mum. Will make the effort to catch up at some point before the schools go back though. :?
