perhaps donate leftover cotton fabric to
http://projectlinusuk.org.uk/index.php? ... &Itemid=43

so they can make quilts and blankets can go to any child who is in need of cheering and comforting. Hospitals, hospices and refuges are popular but any child or children's organisation that would benefit.

Blimey. That site has just made me cry. I've got three quilts on the go at the minute. You've really inspired me to finish them and donate.

Having always made bags I have found the little leftover can be used to decorate a bag.

A plain bag I would use the patterned offcuts while a patterned bag I would use the plain offcuts.

I have even made them up into strips for bag handles.

A set of multi patchworked handles and a patchwork pocket look great on a plain material bag
