One of the best reuses

Postby St Paul Baggers » Sat Jun 26, 2010 3:46 am

We have a bagging party today - got though 20 or so and some other prep (pictures below) but I had to share this great bag that one of our group made. Image
Note the bottom - it is made out of an old punching bag!

Here are some of the other bags - Image
and here is the maker of many of our bags Anita Image and some of the 6 machines we had going. I got to use the serger for the first time - WOW is it fast and now worries about edging hanging out of the french seams!

Happy summer

Lovely bags - love the orange ones! You have all been busy, and imaginative use of a punching bag too. Just goes to show, you can make a Morsbag out of almost anything!!!

Happy Summer and happy Morsbagging!

Those bags look gorgeous,
What a great way to spend the day :!:
I haven't persuaded anyone in my village to join me in making bags, (although quite a few of them enjoy having them, Its so good to see them with a bag on their arm as they walk up the High Street.)
I don't know what a serger is but it sounds pretty fearsome.
Kind regards

Fantastic photos, SPB. A great pod thing going on there! I use a overlocker all the time for the first seam. Mine has never come unthreaded and has had the same cones on for over a year.

TinTin, I think you are confusing Beattie and Bernie so let me explain.

Beattie is married to Masterclock, they live in St Agnes, and their pod is called Cuckoobird. Beattie also belongs to Aggie Baggies and RocBags.

Bernie is b. steadman and his pod is Big Green Idea, he lives in Germany and hurdles chicken fences not all together successfully!

Thanks Offcuts,
My sincere apologies Bernie and Beattie, My only excuse is that I'm on new medication that has made me a bit light headed. I know now who is who (or should that be whom is whom)?

:D It's true Offcuts that Sussex is looking extremely lovely at the moment The hedgerows are absolutely full of wild flowers and butterflies. We went down to Shoreham Airport for breakfast the other day, and I sent your love to the Downs as we drove over them.

Thanks for making everything clear as day Offcuts! As I read I wondered whether to post a disclaimer for any helpful comments on here, not needed now!
Mr Beattie (aka Masterclock) grew up on the Weald & I love the Downs too. His old stamping ground is really Ashdown Forest.
