That's come around quick hasn't it? I don't think I'll get a chance to get another one made as I have the baby grandson from now until tomorrow night... I'll be lucky to get a sit down!

This is one I made a while back - I love the mix of florals

and a mini bag with a long handle

This one was made from scraps and an old summer skirt that had got oil on it.... I love it and still use most days..

However this one has to be the most time consuming bag I have ever made... but also the most rewarding..

Lovely bags Valbee. A touch of the Rennie Mackintosh on the quilted bag?!

What brilliant and inspiring bags. A joy to look at early on a sunny morning.

Crikey Krisaby, you're up early if the time on your message is right!!! (although I've just noticed the clock is still in winter time and an hour behind)

It's not sunny here, and we're only about 20 miles south of you...

Yep. You are right Loopy. I get up early! Today my neighbour and I grabbed the opportunity to go to the V&A quilt exhibition. It is very good and we hope to go again!

Great, wasn't it? We went in March, just after it had opened, after a visit to the Ideal Home show. Loved all the quilts, to think that some of them are hundreds of years old. Hope mine last that long!

Well - a bit of a disappointing turnout in terms of number of entries, but completely understandable with all the long awaited beautiful spring sunshine luring everyone outside.

Thank you to all who entered and also to the V&A http://www.vam.ac.uk/ who so kindly donated the tickets to morsbags - lovely quilted/patchwork bags, although now you all have to get back to making normal, less time-consuming morsbags!

In light of the number of entries, I haven't asked Davina Thomas to judge the competition after all... so a pair of tickets each go to Loopy's bags, Beattie, Ivybags, Sazzie and Valbee. I hope you can all use them as you're not in London....make sure you pass them on if not, but if you do pop down/up, give Joby and I a shout to say hello and maybe we can pass on some material to you too (see different thread for pics of material hoard!)

Congratulations Guys and Happy Bagging! :D
