Yet more excellent bags, I am feeling guilty as I haven't sewn in over a week - will try to rectify that tomorrow - will not be venturing out anywhere as I'll end up stuck in all the Grand National traffic!

:D - and now look - you're a star! :D All your own work Loopy.

Looking forward to seeing you again at Olympia. Are you going to be there both days (Friday & Saturday) or just Saturday Loopy?

Beattie: we'll be there just on Saturday, train fare is too expensive to come both days I'm afraid.

And Offcuts: no, he's not!!! He's getting the hang of it now though, he took his new Morsbag out yesterday when he went shopping. I hung it on the door handle and reminded him to take it when he went out - I went out before him - and when I got home it wasn't there any more. I did ask him today where it was because I hadn't seen it since, and he said in the car. Now, whether it was still in the car because he'd used it, or he'd forgotten to take it out of the car, I'll never know!

Hopefully he'll learn a bit more about Morsbags on Saturday... wonder if we could persuade him to 'have a go' if it's quiet?!!!

One I made last night but didn't technically finish until nearly 1am, so I'm not counting it for Morsbagging Sunday. It is, however, the first bag made today, according to the running total!!! Yes - it's that fabric again LOL!!! I've run out now so will have to find another favourite.

I went to see my mum and dad today, mainly to make an apron that my mum wanted to make, but her fingers and hands are numb so she can't sew any more. I made the apron (but forgot to take a pic of it - typical!), and also made her a Morsbag, as she said she wanted one. Once I'd made it, she said that all her friends would probably want one too, and promptly let me turn out her cupboards and come home with tons of fabric! I've also got her sewing machine back, so I'm back to 2 again, one for quilts, one for Morsbags. Only thing I need now is time!!!

Great bag Loopy :D the material looks strangely familiar....

Good news about the extra sewing machine - all you'll need to do now is push the walls out to accommodate all the extra kit for morsbagging. :D

Great news about your aquisitions, Loopy :D

I'll say the fabric is familiar. Offcuts2 had about 100 metres of it! It is based on a William Morris design. It has large square patterns which can be seen at the bottom of loopy's bag. We decided to cut it up as if they weren't there and as a result all the bags come out differently and the contrasting panel is completely random.

I love that fabric - my friend had the top design as a wallpaper in her spare room and I have spent many a night under its soft pattern!

Yes, I'll have to admit to cutting it out on Saturday and bringing home with me. Wish there was more of it, it was fab to sew with.

Wow.... 100 metres of it? Have they used it all yet?

I've now cut out about 6 bags and am just ironing the handles (sorry, but I'm pinning them as well as they are about 6 foot long! I make one long handle and then chop it into the lengths I want - only 2 seams to sew then instead of 6 or eight (if I type the number eight I get a smiley?)). I might get around to making another bag tonight, but I've been banished from the lounge now as Mr L said it looks like the factory in Corrie! So I've now got 2 sewing machines and all this fabric, plus my usual fabric, and all my craft stuff squashed into the little boxroom. Hopefully I'll be able to get up there most days/evenings and reduce some of it, but it might take a while!

If you type the number "eight" then a "close bracket" you get a "cool" smiley in shades 8) . If you put a space between them you get this - 8 )
Well spotted though, I've occasionally moderated posts where someone hasn't noticed that they've got a smiley instead of an "eight, close brackets".
