Thank you... LOL!!! yes, almost, but not quite....!!! Hubby's just told me it's warmer outside the house today than inside...!!!

Luckily we've been out in some nice warm shops... where it was too hot... came back home to cool off!!!

Hubby went out today and I wasn't babysitting, so took the opportunity to make a few bags. This is the most I've made at one time, on a production line. I usually make one bag at a time and finish the whole thing, then am so chuffed that I've made another one I post it on here! These took me most of today, on and off (I also spent 2 hrs in the garden sowing seeds instead of Morsbags, and had a 2 hour nap this afternoon). Hubby was complaining about the noise of the sewing machine too so I had to go really slowly so as to not make too much noise.... men! These were the ones I had ready prepared for Sunday so I guess I've got to go and cut some more out now!

Thanks girls.... I love the orange fabric too. Bought it last summer at a summer fete thing, it was £1.50 for about 3 yards, so a good bargain. Lovely to sew too... methinks I should have kept some to put in a quilt! Never mind...

Yup! :D Any headphones should plug into the TV. Grumpy wears them when watching the football or when he wants to watch a film frame by frame :D (yes he really does do that!). I think they have the added avantage that I can't talk to him when he is trying to concerntrate. As if......

The person who invents a silent sewing machine would be on to a good thing I reckon! :D

That's an impressive stash of bags Loopy - my favourites are the navy blue ones!

Almost silent machines exist already - hand cranks are MUCH quieter than electric ones!

That is true! :D I was told that singers are called singers because they sing. Don't think that is true. Here is a little bit about Issac Singer!

Thanks Krisaby: the blue floral fabric was a single bed quilt, with a padded top and gathered ruffles all round. So far I've made 5 bags out of the ruffle, and my mum has the top part to make an apron for someone. I'm sure there'll be a bit left over too, so that was a good bargain at £2.

And thanks Beattie: I've got another couple of the summery ones cut out ready to sew at the moment. That was a duvet cover and there seems to be tons of fabric there as well, but some of it has gone bobbly so won't be used for bags.

I tend to get bored with a fabric and usually only make one bag out of it, then leave it for a while to make another one. This time I'm using it all up at once so I can move on to another one.
