Labels in Australia via boomerang bags? And mini labels?

Postby JenMeister » Mon Mar 02, 2009 11:01 am

On the "buy labels" page, when I click "checkout" it tells me I can buy directly from the boomerang bags pod.

However I can't get in contact with them to confirm payment by stamps (they specify $1 denominations, only $1.10 are available) and that they have a stock of lavels & are still shipping.

I'd like this option for the price & time advantages... does anyone know if this is still available? I tried sending the pod a "postcard" through the contact link through their "top of the pods" listing but haven't heard back (I admit this is my impatience, I only sent the mail a day or two ago :P I'm just keen to start podding so I can get some labeled bags out there!.

Also, are mini labels still available? I haven't seen the option to buy them on the main site (from my pod page)

Thanks for any info you might have :)

Someone in Oz bought labels from Boomerang Bags pod just over a fortnight ago - and as there have been no complaints that I am aware of I assume it went OK. I'd suggest you allow a bit more time for Boomerang to reply - I sympathise when you have bags waiting breathlessly to become proper morsbags.

As far as I know Boomerang Bags have not had small labels printed. Perhaps you could let them know if you would like to buy them, but I guess that they would not be a goer, cost-wise unless they were to be popular.
Could you make your own? With a printer (see downloadable version on labels page) or if you have a fancy sewing machine that does embroidery (or a friend with one....)

Hi JenMeister, I'm sure Boomerang bags will be in touch shortly - as Beattie explained they supply the standard labels for Australia but mini labels are a new thing and we only have them in the UK for now... if you'd like some I can send them to Australia but it's probably not the most economic thing to do.... Let us know when you hear back from them.

Thanks for the replies - just good to know that they're still actively giving out labels. I will wait a bit, then go ahead an send out the stamps.

I did print off some labels onto tshirt transfer, but I found that the result was quite pixelated. Also, I don't really know anyone else who sews, let alone has a fancy embroidery machine (wish I did... they look like so much fun!)

Full-sized labels are fine, I was just curious because I'd heard about them on the forums :)

I got in contact and it's been sorted out. 100 (normal sized) labels are coming my way! Yay!

Thanks everyone :)
