I'm in Poynton, about midway between Stockport and Macclesfield. Definitely up for making a bunch of bags, distributing them outside Tescos and getting the local press involved. Anyone else interested? The camera-shy can opt-out of any publicity events of course, but you're more than welcome at the actual bag-making stage.

I'm in Cornwall so can't join you - but I did enjoy your blog. I made a similar rug many years ago - it had to go in a move (it was pretty worn out!). Brought back lots of memories!
I hope you find some pod-mates!

Thanks, Beattie. I've rummaged out some fabric and I'm going to make my first bag tonight. The kids go back to school on Tuesday and then I'll start trying to recruit some fellow guerilla bagmakers from my friends.

The best of luck with your pod. I'm actually not far away from you at all - I live in Stockport - but with being quite pregnant and having to be in and out of hospital at the mo I can't really commit to joining pod-style. Hope it goes well though. I'll look forward to seeing morsbag labels when I'm passing through Poynton!

Thanks, Sarah. I hope the rest of your pregnancy and the birth go well (I loved giving birth and I wish I could do it again). Maybe after the baby arrives you'll feel like doing sociable things again and you might want to join the pod.

I'm new here and this is my first post.......

I'm in Manchester.......

That is Manchester Township, in Ocean County, in the state of New Jersey in the USA.....

Just went to your blog and read about your father in Ireland.

My grandfather came to the USA from Ireland close to 100 years ago. My mother, Irish descent, went to Ireland back in the 1960's to visit our ancestors over there.

My father ancestors came from Scotland, England, France, and Holland.
