AMAZING! Thank you so much everyone.
Just checked, it was Twickenham Baggers who added 29 to make the 10,000, but then added another 1 a few minutes later, perhaps just because they wanted everyone to see the magic 10,000 mark just for a few minutes!
I Bag You brought it up to the 10,014 just for good measure.

So the official time was 10:44am on the morning of the 8th of Jan.

We had a slow start when we launcehd morsbags so there's no reason why now we can't double or even treble this next year!

Phew, cup of tea anyone?

Feeling a nice warm glow inside now, even though it is quite chilly-pom-pom today :-)

now....how many can we do before Jan 14th??? (with suitable rest and recuperation periods of course)

Yes, very nice fireworks, indeed!!!

What about reaching 10101? Too little? It is a nice palindrome number! It would be nice to see it on the page... When I saw the 10000, before entering our bags, I had to take a screenshot of it, ;-), because it was too exciting!!! I was trying to attach the image here, but I didn't manage, :-( Anyway, it was around 10:45, I think.

WON'T IT BAGGERS!
Well done everyone & lucky you Twickenham Baggers!!

You need to put the picture onto a photo sharing website, such as flickr, then post here, giving the location of the photo on flickr (right click on the photo on flickr, then left click on "copy image location", come back here and paste the location into your post. If there are any symbols after .jpg delete them, then highlight the address, then click on "img" just above this box). if you check using "prreview" you should see your image. Then submit!

Congrats Twickeham Baggers :-)

In line with Joby1's suggestion I'm changing this competition so the deadline will be 12 midnight on 14th Jan, keep your guesses (and bags) coming......I will be providing a glorious prize of equal value to the previous one for the lucky, lucky winner.

Now, I think Joby1 said the teas are on him....[scurries off to brew up]
Digestive anyone?

YAYYYYYYYYYY!!! Fantastico - was painful not being near a computer to see the tally this morning but now I've found out and am STUNNED that 10,000 (and more) morsbags have been made with 6 days to spare!

Well done everyone - and thanks for the fireworks lady b and zappers - I guess that we'll have made 10,301 by the 14th...

Please take a break everyone and give pats on backs and to your faithful sewing machines...chocolate digestive if you have any please scallywagbags :D

I had forgotten to add my 12 Christmas Present bags to the tally, so hectic has life been. Knowing us lot, I'm fairly confident we shall do this. We love a challenge and a deadline.

Just off back to my machine.......

Feeling like I want to share a massive hug with the whole of the forum. SQUEEEEEzzzE.

Homemade brownies are on me and we really appreciate what you've all achieved. It's just starting to sink in - only a week or so ago 10,000 didn't seem all that possible.

Grateful Pol and Joby xxxx

 Fantastic Morsbaggers!! Wow we surely can double this figure this year if we carry on like this. Add another 5 to the total. One of my Mums is bringing me a removal box full of curtains, tablecloths and duvet covers tomorrow so they'll keep me going for months, probably!! Her little girl had seen a cute floral bag I'd made, and being bag mad, claimed it. Of course, it had a Morsbag label on and her Mum asked what Morsbags was. After I explained to her she said she was taking a box full of stuff to the tip!! Shame on her. ..anyway, I asked if I could have them and promised her 10 bags. She's also going to ask her family if they hav e any contributions for me. Can't wait to see all the goodies!!
