Welcome Tabitha and congratulations for your first labels order!
I understand how you feel...
My first order was also 50 labels, the second one 200 and the third one???
Well, I'm thinking about ordering 500!
Happy bagging!

Hi Tabitha - once the addiction kicks in you'll find yourself ordering more labels - those 50 will be used up and given away! (on bags, of course) :D

I have just ordered 500  Not that I mind at all. Grumpy goes to work to keep me in morslabels and odd crocs, but it would be good to find a sponsor. Does anyone out there have any ideas. What about coming up with a letter to begin with? I'm probably really stepping out of line here but hey- ho

Great piece of magic BBB! Shopping takes up precious bagging time! (though it does give the bags an airing!)

new to morsbags so a few Qs

Postby annie in the UK » Mon Nov 10, 2008 11:45 am

I am a solopodist as i live out in the sticks and have been makeing bags for several years now here are the Q's
do the morsebags have to be the size given or can they be larger ?
do they have to have morsbags.com on them.
i make lots of bags for the backs of wheelchairs so the handles have to be longer to stretch over the handles plus a bit bigger to carry the groceries. do they count?
can i embroider the words morsebags.com onto the bags myself
just wondered. annie in the Uk

Hello and welcome Annie. Morbags can be any size really. The size on the instructions is about the size of a plastic carrier bag, which we want to replace with morsbags! I have made bigger bags to be able to fit a large pack of toilet tissue in or items from Curry's. I hate their plastic bags! I also make big bags to put quilts in when giving them as gifts and smaller bags for Christmas and birthday gifts.

The morsbags label needs to be on the bags to encourage people to look at the site or to ask "who/what is morsbags" giving you a chance to further the guerilla bag movement!!

I don't think it would be a problem if you embroidered a morsbags label.

Good to have you here.

Hi Annie - great to have you on board and it sounds like you're totally hooked after today's curtain efforts, so that's wonderful news. Ditto Walker6 comment about size - whatever you think comes in handiest really; we just picked a kind of replacement plastic bag size which people can modify with longer/shorter handles or bigger/smaller dimensions etc.

The embroidered label question is a good one - labelling the bags gives some uniformity to the uniqueness of morsbags and creates a more 'professional' look AND, very importantly, enables the recipient to get to the site, see what it's all about and hopefully join in too... so as long as your embroidery can be clearly seen, sounds great!

Happy bagging!

Also, if you do decide to embroider, make sure you spell it correctly. They're "morsbags" NOT "morsebags" as you wrote earlier. Pol & Joby have a cybersquatter & we don't want them getting the publicity! :?

Personally I think that my time making the bag (half an hour or so includung cutting and ironing) is worth far more than the cost of the label - they're only 4p each now - so let's make a proper job of it. The label adds to the strength of the brand "morsbags" and is worth using - every one adds to the cause and the uniformity is worth a lot. I realise they'll be popular for smaller bags, but "in my humble opinion" even the smaller labels take away from the uniformity and power of the brand.

well done Annie. I like seeing mine out and about as well... and it keeps the kids busy in the supermarket and round town .

As for size.........I work with what I have and no one seems to mind when they get given something for nothing, in fact the pleasure on their faces can put a shine on an otherwise dull day.
I have people asking me for longer handles or a pocket which they send out to friends as gifts. The idea is taking off round here and I am really pleased.

I like the sound of the embroidery. I make my own labels using the graphics label pack on the label page and iron them onto old curtain lining and then give them a frilly edge by drawing off some the edge threads... sort of a tatty edge which looks really cool when done.

I personally like a bit of individuality whilst incorporating the MB message. Life would be a sad place if we were al lthe same and I applaude your efforts. Well done.
