On September 12th we have been given a free stall by Leicestershire Food Links at Lutterworth Farmer's Market.

Lutterbags and Offcuts shall be giving away morsbags made by Offcuts2 and Lutterbags (staff, volunteers and pupils at Lutterworth College Enterprise Centre and Onestopshop). We shall also have two hand machines set up for people to have a go. We shall be talking about the merits of bringing your own re-usable non-plastic bags.

We shall also be having reporters/photographers from the local press as welll as representatives from the town council. Our ultimate aim is for Lutterworth to become the first town in Leicestershire to become plastic bag free. Very Happy

Thank you Sar. Actually Modbury, Devon was the first town in the world to be plastic bag free and now I think there are over 100 in the UK.

I have just received the Marine Conservation Society's pack for going plastic free which I am going to pass onto the town councillors who are coming to Lutterworth on Saturday. It is an excellent pack with lots of advice and facts and figures. Morsbags have a significant presence as well. When I sent for the pack I passed on the free morsbag for obvious reasons Very Happy

I think we are all set for tomorrow now. Hope I remember to take lots of pics.
