I took a picture of this bag as I was pleased to be able to use the tie backs that came with the curtains. I've had some before but not been able to use them.

Laughing Laughing

*smacks forehead* I should have posted it through the letterbox with some fabric pens! It went to the lady who donated her keys by mistake - made from her curtains plus a piece of tablecloth.

Here's my nephew Joe making his first bag on my new (to me) sewing machine. I bought it on ebay for £3.20 (eat your heart out Barrowbeauties! Very Happy)

He was pleased with the result and found it easier than he'd imagined Very Happy

One of the bobbin cover plates is missing from the sewing machine but it sews perfectly well without it.

It's mine and I had no intention of resisting! I was thrilled that we could just sit down and sew - it was adjusted perfectly, no tension problems or anything.
Mr B collected a little item on our way past Portsmouth - he bought a fire pump that is currently sitting in our larger, sturdier trailer outside my brother's house. This bijou article is just liftable by two people and comes from a ship. Guess where it's going.....

Three cheers for my sister in law, Lynne, who donated piles of lovely curtains and other material for us to cut up and sew.

We had a week-end away for a family get together and I only took a couple of bag kits with me to try out the new toy. I hadn't expected almost everyone to want to play with it too. In the end we made 19 bags on the 1923 hand crank Singer with a bit missing.

Joe's sister Ella had a go -

Here is one of my brothers with the bag he made -

Several members of the family intended to go home and study ebay to buy themselves a hand crank after their experience. This sewing machine is so satisfying to use, and so pretty. Very Happy
