Finally finished the patchwork bag I wanted to make, only took me about 5 hours!! That's the longest I've taken to make a Morsbag! I forgot to sew the label on before I sewed the side seams up too, so I ended up hand sewing it on. Not an easy bag for me to make because of all the layers I had to sew through on the seams, but I'm quite pleased with it.

Chris

Thanks Sazziej..... ummmmm yes, I think I'll be keeping this one. It can replace one of my old faithfuls, which I'll wash and iron ready to give away instead.

Now I'm back in the swing of it I might get some easier ones done before the weekend!

Thank you Offcuts.... yours are nice too....!!! You could make one - you just need lots of strips of different fabrics (which I'm sure you could find lying around somewhere!), and lots of patience!

Oh yes, didn't think of that. In the process of making a green one now... it's a bit addictive and kills 2 birds with one stone: it fulfils my desire to do some (easy) patchwork, and makes Morsbags as well!

I should think you are pleased with that bag! It is a winner. I just love those colours. I can see why you couldn't knock off a stash in five minutes but one made every now and again would be a tremendous lift to the spirit!

Thank you, girls. The patchwork ones certainly do take me a lot longer, but I love the look of patchwork so it's worth it.

Here's the green one I was making.... seems to have come out a lot narrower than the other one, but never mind, it's still a Morsbag!

Thank you both.... I don't know about keeping them.... now I know I can make them like that, I might.... just might.... let one go! I'll make a few more and see how I feel about them then.

I suppose I could always experiment with other patchwork patterns... but I'm aware that in the time I spend making 1 patchwork one, I could probably make 2 'normal' ones...!
